OUR IN HOSPITAL MEDICAL DETOX PROGRAM

Nueva Vida Health and Wellness Retreat starts its program by providing their client’s a professional in hospital detox. We provide this for the safety and additional comfort of all our clients prior to their attending Nueva Vida.

It also assures us that every client is fully detoxed and ready to start the 30 or 60 day program at our Oceanside Estate.
This program is directed and supervised by Dr. Luis Sancho and his team of three psychiatrists who have been doing this for ten years.

The hospital, founded in 1960, is a beautiful modern facility with private rooms and one it the best hospitals in Costa Rica. It is fully accredited by the Joint Commission International, has state of the art equipment along with intensive and emergency care units.

Each patient is assigned a fulltime (24/7) nurse during their entire detox stay.

FULL MEDICAL CHECKUP

In many cases a client can take advantage of their in hospital stay and go through our complete “physical checkup” that includes an in depth and complete assessment of the client’s medical and physical condition.

The checkup includes a colonoscopy, gastroscopy, an abdominal and major organs ultra sound, full blood profile, chest x- rays, an EKG and stress test along with a complete exam and evaluation by an internist. (This test cost less than $1,500 – in the USA it would cost over $5,000)

At the same time we also provide a free dental and vision exam.

A SOUND MIND REQUIRES A SOUND BODY

Our philosophy is that a sound mind needs a sound body. Getting physically fit and healthy is a critical component of any successful rehab. The cost saving provide by our rehab in Costa Rica will allow many clients access to proper medical care also.
