Co-Management Program

OUR CO-MANAGEMENT PROGRAM WITH THERAPIST AND INTERVENTIONISTS

AVIVA and Costa Rica Medical Tourism Services have created a Co-Management Program whereby we work together with therapists and interventions here in the United States.

PROGRAM WITH THERAPISTS (Psychologist, Psychiatrists, Social Workers)

Our Co-Management program with therapists works in one of two ways. In one we send our clients for post rehab follow up care too our co-managing therapist in the United States. We pay the therapist directly for this service. It is a part of the cost of our rehab program. We allow eight initial follow up sessions with the therapist.
In the other we work with therapist in the United States who refers their client’s to our rehab centers in Costa Rica. Under this program a client’s therapist at home in the USA works with our team during the clients rehab stay in Costa Rica. This includes an initial evaluation of the client by the therapist at home prior to the clients leaving for rehab in Costa Rica.
Then once or twice a week during the client’s entire stay at our rehab facility the stateside therapist will communicate with the client via phone or Skype to keep abreast and be fully informed of the clients experience and progress. This may also include conferences with our staff at the rehab center.
Once the client returns home the stateside therapist will be available to provide follow up care and continued therapy for the client. This is done via regular (minimum once a week) therapy sessions with the stateside therapist.
Our program will pay the stateside therapist a co-management fee if the therapist chooses to be a part of this program. AVIVA includes this cost as part of the rehab and pays the co management fee to the therapist in advance thus insuring the client will participate.

CO-MANAGEMENT WITH INTERVENTIONISTS (Intervention services in the USA)

Our Co-Management program with interventionists also works in two forms. In the first we request the services of the interventionist in the United States for a client of ours going to Costa Rica. This would be a standard intervention with the added possibility of the interventionist accompanying our client to Costa Rica and checking him in to the rehab center.
The other program is where the interventionist refers one of his clients to us for a rehab stay in Costa Rica. Here we become another rehab option for the interventionist’s client. In this case we pay the interventionist a referral fee.
