THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING OUR OWN RECOVERY CENTERS
Recognizing the importance of quality post op and recovery care, is in the success of any medical procedure; Costa Rica Medical Tourism Services has created two of its own patient recovery centers close to its medical and dental provider facilities.
Both centers are located inside luxury resorts and offer all kinds of amenities along with highly qualified doctors, nurses and therapists. The centers are also strategically located near to our hospitals and clinics for convenient access by our patients.
CO RI MED RECOVERY CENTER IRAZU – FOR INTENSIVE CARE PATIENTS
For those patients that require more intensive post op care that includes the assistance of a nurse and daily physical therapy secessions, Costa Rica Medical Tourism Services created Co RI Med Irazu. At this center we have our own on site doctor and a full time staff of nurses and therapists who look after the needs of patients who have had more extensive surgeries that require intensive post op care.
Co RI Med Recovery Center, at the Irazu, has deluxe facilities, private rooms each with their own balcony, 24/7 room service, three restaurants, a Denny’s cafeteria that imports all its food from the USA, a large outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a Spa offering massage, cosmetology services and a variety of relaxation therapies, a casino and a large fully equipped gym. It is located less than five minutes from downtown San Jose and right across from one of the largest hospitals in Costa Rica in case of any medical emergency.
CO RI MED RECOVERY CENTER WYNDAM FOR DENTAL PATIENTS AND THOSE WITH MINOR SURGERIES
Co RI Med Recovery Center at the Wyndam Golf and Tennis Resort is the largest and finest recovery center in Costa Rica. It is located just ten minutes from downtown San Jose. Along with a full contingent of recovery center services that include nurses and therapists, the center also offers a wide selection of amenities and activities.
These include access to an 18 hole par 71 golf course, 12 tennis courts, three swimming pools, a large outdoor hot tub, two large gyms, a full Spa offering massage and relaxation therapies, a casino, three onside restaurants and 24/7 room service. Co RI Med Recovery Center at the Wyndam is located two minutes from a major mall that has a large food court, six additional gourmet restaurants, a large grocery and dozens of shops. We provide a free shuttle to and from the mall all day.
The center is also located in a dry and sunny climate with annual temperatures ranging from 60 to 75 degrees. A recent article by National Geographic Society Magazine rated this area of Costa Rica as having one of the best climates in the world – low humidity, sunny and 60 to 80 degrees all year long – ideal for comfortable recovery.
FREE LONG DISTANCE TELEPHONE / INTERNET ACCESS
We provide free unlimited long distance phone service from each room at the recovery center along with hi speed WiFi service. We also provide our patients with the option of having a cell phone – local and long distance.
RECOVERY CENTER TOUR AND VACATION DESK
Both of our recovery centers have onsite tour desks that offer 35 different day tours to all kinds of activities and exotic destinations in Costa Rica. These range from special city tours designed for those patients with limited mobility or recovering from serious surgeries to adventure bound tours to volcanoes, tropical jungles, exotic beaches, canopy rides and even whitewater rafting. We also offer multi day tours and full custom vacations all over Costa Rica.
SPECIAL RECOVERY CENTER RATES FOR OUR PATIENTS
Costa Rica Medical Tourism Services offers highly discounted rates for all their patients that stay at its recovery centers. Our rates are competitive with most small out of the way recovery centers typically found in Costa Rica that offer few if any of the amenities and do not have the medical staff that we provide. Furthermore, these small recovery centers are often far from medical and emergency care facilities and are difficult to get to.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY OUR RECOVERY CENTERS
Costa Rica Medical Tourism Services provides free transportation for all its recovery center patients to and from the airport and to and from hospitals and doctors. Our transportation service provides new mini vans or luxury SUVs that are all fully insured and have English speaking drivers.
Additional services available at the recovery center is a pharmacy with free delivery service, a business center with fax and copying, child care center, car rental office, a chapel, available conference rooms and a large convention center.
